I doubt whitewalls would have been a factory option for any truck, but a dealer would do whatever was requested .... OTOH, I believe 57 was the first year the narrow ww's were made, and available on Caddies and such, so that wouldn't be too 'original' for a bottom of the line truck

I have Yokohama 700R15LT's on the 58, a little harsh riding cuz 10ply, but they have the taller, narrower original look and don't show the bulgey sidewalls of car size radials

nother thought - tire rubber is actually white, covered with a coating of blackened rubber [to avoid ugly scuff marks] - there's a place in Sacto that will "buff off" the black rubber to create the ww, tho' I think only on tires that have the raised white lettering
