It is interesting to note these early gmc/pontiac motors were reverse cooled motors. That is to say the water was directed to the heads first, and then down to the engine block. It is also interesting to note that these motors do not share the later Buick Oldsmobile Pontiac Cadillac bellhousing bolt pattern.
