Hi I am doing more research on "Buddy" our 57 Chevy 3604 truck and I found some numbers on the third member. Can anyone help decode them? Also there is a nob next to these numbers? I don't know what it is for?
stamped number into the forge - #3699535 - below that #362 and also there seems to be a #1 on the opposite end of the plate?
This rear also has 14 leaf springs on each side - 6 smaller ones on top and 8 below it.
I just replaced the rear seal and purchased one from Napa here in the Twin Cities and I believed it was a Ho52 and the gasket worked great!
Thanks for any help!! I am sure someone knows something about these rears on this site!
