| | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 247 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 247 | The tag on the side of the 8000 lb Ramsey winches on my 76 GMC wrecker says to use 140 weight gear oil on the gear side. I read an article awhile back stating that the performance of the winch could be affected if the oil on the gear side was low.
