I bought a CPP 5559MCA master cylinder bracket so I could upgrade to a dual reservoir master cylinder. I read about this bracket from Cletis' Tech Tip.
I'm having trouble with the parts. Instructions show a Female clevis joint bolting up to the brake pedal, but I have a Male clevis joint. No long threaded nut to connect the two and use for fine adjustment. And the bolt to hold the clevis joint to the pedal arm is probably 1/2" too short, with no spacers to make things line up.
So I guess I have to go to Princess Auto to get a male clevis joint, and bunch of grade 8 bolts to see if I can make it work.
Looks like they sent you the wrong stuff. Did they offer to make it right?
I've read others report similar problems with CPP products. How difficult is it to ship the correct parts, and print accurate, clear instructions?
I just used one and the instructions weren't the best, but sufficed. I had to space the clevis a bit, but all in all, what they sent me bolted on easily and has worked well so far. Much easier than fabricating all that stuff. Price wasn't bad either.
I like the idea of having a remote reservoir instead of trying to work through a hole in the cab, with all the dirt around the master cylinder reservoir.
