Most of the vertical accelerator rods have a tab welded to them right up where the rod passes the exhaust manifold. The spring attaches there to pull the acceerator back to an idle position. The other end does attach below to a tab in one of the oil pan screws. I've seen factory tabs and various other products. I use a Mr. Gasket right angle chrome piece attached to the oil pan screw and it turns up for the spring to hook into a factory hole in it.
