I was looking for info on the 5531 in my '54 GMC 350,and I just typed in "specifications,5531 Brown Lipe transmission" on Google,and found a few links with interesting stuff;one was an IH site
International Harvester CTS-11/12 R-Series Motor Truck Service Manual
(Hope this works!) where they list the 5831 as a factory installed box on Cornbinders. It even lists the ratios,number of bearings,and how much lube it requires.
Should be easy to find-it was only 2 or 3 down from the top.
