the 54 235 and 261 are differnt than the newer ones. I beleive the pan would fit, but the internal stuff won't. I had this trouble with my 261. To solve it the dealer let me order everyone the the 5 differnt pumps listed. i just picked out the one that matched mine and sent the rest back. The fittings from the pump to the block and the oil screen assembly are going to have to come from an engie of the same yr and type.
