I should be able to drive my bread truck again this weekend! I drilled and tapped the bottom two tranny mount holes in the bellhousing so I could install a pair of threadserts. They have been locktited in place and I've test fitted the trans to the bellhousing and all looks good. I picked up my clutch disc and I'll be mocking up my drive shaft tomorrow or sunday. The starter was also pretty gummed up and would usually take a few cranks to get the solenoid to do it's thing. I took some time and disassembled and cleaned it up.

I've also tracked down a known good 261 in an early 60's tilt cab chevy truck and plan on getting that back to the shop in the next month so I can get it all cleaned up and resealed. I'm also considering a small amount of boost on this guy too if all works out well..
