I just installed a 250 in my 54 3100. The 250 came with a 200TH. All automatics bolt up to the block in the same way. The flexplate on mine has 153 tooth and measures 12 3/4". My block has bolt holes for two different starters. I beleive one for automatics and one for manuals. My engine came out of a 79 Nova. I'm going to put a 4spd behind mine.
