The perch prevents the axle from rolling, it acts like a chair for the axle to sit on. The spring hanger is rivoted to the frame. There is a threaded bushing that is pressed into the spring hanger to accept that threaded pin. You may try getting a new spring shackle kit at NAPA or one of the suppliers. The shackle comes with 2 new pins and 2 new bushings. | | |
