Hey all -
Okay, here's the update...
The good we didn't know...
1 Truck has an alternator, new starter, has been converted to 12 volt
2 Has an open driveline, not sure if trans and rear axle are stock, but it is a 4 speed
3 It has a 235 that *appears* to be in good shape
4 Newer exhaust, all the way back
5 BRAND new tires, huge suckers...
7 Seat is is great shape, has seatbelts, interior is okay
8 Owner's manual in the glovebox
The Bad
1 A welter of small dents
2 Some rust at the back underside of cab
3 Some mystery wiring and plumbing
4 Title is okay, but VIN number is issued by State of Cal - I'll need to check this out
The ugly
1 Me
The seller said he bought it for $3k several years ago, he was asking $2,500, we offered $2,200; he countered with $2,400 and we said, "sold!"
All in all, I think we did okay on this....
