We're not quite as bad here,except for last winter!

I agree with Alvin, a well fitted tarp, but one that will allow some airflow under would be good.

The main problem I experienced with mine was paint chaffing when the winds got going.
Shouldn't be a major rust problem as you'll be painting it anyway.
My main concern would be condensation in the interior,you don't want mould forming on your seat etc.
