Hy todjob2000, the timing sounds correct, you set your dwell first then set your timing, [dwell effects timing, but timing doesn't effect dwell]. The firing order is 165432. The choke plate should be fully open when the choke is off [knob pushed in]. You could check your thermostat to make sure it is working properly. You haven't told us how it was running before you did this work?
