thanks to all for your help. I was able to fix it today. Just slipped off the old front bearing and put on the one I had from another Saginaw and that fixed the problem. The only hard part was the retainer ring. I didn't have the right pliers which took some time, beer and swearing but all is good so far after a short road test. Thanks bolters!!
