For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 127 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 127 | thx for the info. I wasnt sure how much the straight six block had changed over the last 50 yrs or so. I had my fingers crossed that by some mirracle an auto from a late model s-10 would bolt right up and I'd be on my way to the next hurdle, I knew it was a pipe dream , but you know I had to ask. I've been looking around the site and it seems I'll bee spending alot of time here reading. My 16yo daughter has an appreciation for vintage trucks and she bought a 1959 Chevy Apache Long Bed Step-Side. She and I hope to get it on the road as a daily driver and then do a restoration as she enjoys the truck. I have the three speed trans from the truck and it is in good shape......I just dread trying to teach a teenage girl how to drive three on the tree, but it will certainly be amusing to try. I've got her on rust removal as I weld in a new floor panel (she already wishes she had bought a smaller truck)
Thx again for the info. I will probably be looking for the conversion kit. Jessica's TruckThe true definition of insanity: To do the same thing the same way repeatedly and expect a different result each time. | | |
