I am in the middle of wiring up my truck and was making the connections to the generator when I went to remove the old nut from the field (F) post and the post began to turn instead of the nut.
Has it come loose from an internal connection? Should the field post be able to spin?
For now I have left the original nut on and connected the wire with another nut on top but will this generator work without needing repairs to this post?
The truck is a 46 1/2 ton, keeping it 6 volt, all original equipment. Except for the seats- they found a good home with another bolter!
