Thank you for the response, it sounds like it's ok then. Over the years things will get altered, I guess. Not always great work either.
I'm not 100% sure how the coil should be connected. The one installed is pointed down (in the original position I do believe) with one post pointed up and the other pointed down. I know the armored cable from the ignition lock goes to one and the other gets connected to the distributor(no polarity reversing switch). But which one goes where?
I think, from pictures I have found, that the ignition cable connects to the post pointing up. Can anyone confirm this?
