Thanks for replying. I think I have it figured out. Tell me if I'm correct, the pump lever should be pointing up (which means the "IN" inlet would be on the gas tank side) and the outlet would be from the pump to carb. I think what had me confused is that this 235 engine (from a 1955 model) does not have a push rod. Correct? Other old vintage cars I worked on had a push rod. Also, where can I purchase a glass see through fuel filter, I think I need one of those also.
