OK, a little befuddled here.

Let's start from the beginning.

What does the ID tag say on the driver's side door jam?

Is the engine in there now a 6 cylinder, or a v8?

Does this truck have an automatic transmission, or is it a manual shifting transmission. (if it is Manual, there will be brake, clutch, gas, and a starter pedal on the floor.

We really can't suggest what to do untill we find out what you have, and what condition it is in.

If you have a 302 6 cylinder, and it does spin, you may just want to get that motor running. Those 6 cylinders are plenty tough, and could probably survive the 12 year hibernation.
