yup,
even with the $400 3.5 hp 60 gal 125 & i can't remember what cfm campbell hausfeld or husky you'd be stopping & waiting for it to catch up more than you'd be blasting. i had one like that & it wouldn't maintain 90 psi using air tools. i got the next size up 2 stage with 80 gal tank & now it will maintain 90 psi, although sometimes it runs continuoisly,bot that's ok. i believe it would run a small sandblaster fine. hp, gallons, psi & such isn't what really important though. CFM is. do some more searches.
