yes, totally adaptable, same harness fits my 58 long box as fit my 57 short panel - the alt is easy change with or without the purchased harness, the gas tank wire goes under the floor in a pickup as well and then up to the tank so about same length - the seperate section that does the tail lights will fit long or short bed, but easy to add on if necessary to get up thru the side panels/door .... grab some dirt and get that harness
