The original post reads.."but I cannot open the driver's side door.", so the hinges connot be accessed. The latch has to be addressed. If the truck has the cardboard cover on it, it needs to be removed. If the latch will not operate by way of both the inner remote handle and linkage, and the outer door handle, then there may be a serious problem with the latch, and it may need to be replaced. Get inside the door with a flashlight and your fingers. See if you can figure out, or force the latch to release. They are a simple mechanism. Good luck.
