I would love to have a VW diesel in my 51 if it would have had the power to push it. My wife's 2002 VW Beatle diesel has 130,000 miles on it and consistently gets 45 mph. Once I got 48 mph. VW has been making diesels for Europe for over 50 years and I expect mama's diesel will be running when the body rusts out.
