I posted a topic about locating my vin on my truck. I did some searching in the forums and still have a question if anyone can help. My title number is K3989978. It is a chevy 1/2 ton pickup. I was wondering what this number pertains to since I can't find it on the truck. The title is not in my name and am wondering how to match this title...is there another place I should be looking...what do the numbers represent...does not sound like a normal ID number you find on the ID plate. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
