i bought a complete bolt in kit from
www.performanceonline for my 57. using their 7" booster model that bolts to the factory bracket under the floor board and utilizes the factory brake pedal.
you will drill 2 holes in the frame for a supplied master cylinder bracket and thats about it.
i did have to grind a few areas on the caliper brackets for more clearance on tight turns, they were hitting the king pin bolt, but that may be due to the fact i am running a 3 inch dropped axle.
also had to turn about .010 out of the i.d. of the supplied bearing adaptor that slides onto the factory spindle.
seems that nothing is truly a bolt on for these old trucks.
