Thank You Guys for reply. Cups are installed correctly. I condidered the pushrod length, but they are all the same length and appear to be original. drums are on (I'm tired of taking them off and cleaning them). I thought the pistons or cups might be covering the hole as suggested - what then? larger spring in the middle? I don't want to tinker with the length of push rods only as a last resort. the cups do appear to be blown off, and this last time it was only the bottom cup on the front cylinder on each wheel (each wheel has 2 cylinders).
