| | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 22 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 22 | I recently got a 1960 Oldsmobile transmission to mate to my 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 324 V8 4 barrel. The guy I bought it from claims it's rebuilt. It wont upshift unless I take my foot of the gas momentarily and will then shift very smoothly.It also wont shift back down to first until I'm almost at a stop. Now I know the downshift linkage is out of whack. So I'm guessing thats the reason for my second problem but does anyone have any thoughts on it's upshift problems?

If the frame is Good then everything else can be fixed.
