Hope you don’t mind me jumping your thread but I just tried to install my stainless trim and windshield on my 50 3100 tonight. Hope this info helps you.
Used a Steele gasket.
The rubber did fit around the glass kind of loose. The instructions said it should not be too loose or too tight.
The outer lip on the outside did not extend as far as the original.
Found out on the second attempt that there is an upside down to the gasket.
the stainless trim did not seat well in the top, most likely my error.
I used some liquid soap as a lubricant in the rubber gasket joints and the pinch weld.

Oh..... and I broke the glass while giving palm slaps trying to set the center. So be careful .
I’ll Call Steele on Tuesday and ask them about the fit. And my glass man to order another glass.
