Standard green ethylene glycol-based antifreeze is fine. Other modern antifreeze such as Organic Acid Technology (which is pink if I recall correctly; used for a while on some Ford products) and orange Dexcool can attack some gasket materials. This is one reason not all coolants are backwards compatable. | | |
