I don't think you want to paint it with the oem paint, which back then was lacquer, with all the newer paints available to use these days. I wouldn't do lacquer if they gave me the paint.
As the above said, a good paint supplier can get you the original color in a newer type paint, plus the actual final color being an exact match to the original depends on how the paint is applied.
What I mean is, you could take the same paint and apply it on two different days and come up with a slight difference in color if you were to change how it was applied.
