Thanks Jockbolter for the pic and for confirming that my '50 did indeed have the 3100 emblem on the hood. Currently mine only has the Chevrolet badges on it. I'll have to study it further because the two holes are covered up by the Chevy badges. And no, the badges I found last Sunday at the swap meet were used but in good condition.
Healing Bear.... I guess I was not clear enough in my original question. I was inquiring about the side badges on the hood and not a "hood ornament". Thanks for taking time though to help me.
