Dennis, Aside from originality my 235 exhaust manifold outlet angles back at about a 15 degree angle which will create interference with my steering gear box directly below it

If I use the 216 manifold which exhaust straight down as it was in the original set up I avoid some exhaust plumbing issues.

Also the 216 manifold has the horn bracket cast on it.

Consequently I preserve originaly and some of my sanity in not having to relocate/route these items.
