Oy!!!

Been working on re-mounting the fire pump to the front bumper of Rosie, the '41 Chevy 1.5 ton fire engine. Laying under the front, happened to look up at a whole in the front cross-member, and saw part of a large lock washer sitting there. Hmmm . . .

Felt around in the valley, found the washer and a matching nut. Turns out they were from the Generator fan pulley!!! big_eek big_eek big_eek

Feeling darn lucky that A: the Pulley hadn't come off! and B: the nut and washer happened to fall into a place where they weren't lost! Ok, and C: that I actually noticed them sitting there!

I'm not usually that fortunate, but I'll be checking that nut, and all the others under the hood, more often from now on!
