Hello folks at Stovebolt.com

Yesterday I purchased a 1946 Chevy 3500 near Kansas City and drove it home to Manhattan (put just over 100 miles on the odometer).

I didn't buy this truck because I am a collector, rather, I value these "antiques" that are built better than today's planned obsolescence products. I prefer the concept of buying one good vehicle and having it (potentially) for life, as opposed to trading up every couple of years. Additionally, I can tinker and work on this truck, as opposed to the modern variety.

Anyway, this truck is 37 years older than I am, but in better shape than most trucks that have been built since I was born. Quality gear equals less waste.

I look forward to delving into the Stovebolt forums and the help I'm sure I will find in helping me maintain this beautiful machine!

Cheers~

And I think the truck is actually a 3800...
