I also had to change the water pump to a short shaft style. I wanted to keep the foot starter so i had to keep the flywheel and the starter from the original 54 engine as well. the one from the 62 was a "key start" and the number of teeth on the flywheel were different. i think i used the 54 bell crank for the carb linkage but i still had to cut and bend it to get it to work properly.
