I am not sure, if the chassis is truly GMC, but on Chevys there is a VIN stamped into the frame rail. There may be a number stamped on the left outside rail underneath the cab. There may also be another stamped further forward on top of the frame rail. Someone else may be able to shed a little more light on that aspect. If not, then you will just have to crawl underneath and check for numbers.
