oem4me...wow, was that a suggestion to get rid of my truck? I do realise that it is alot like a woman, it's a labor of love. I do want to get married, but I'm being very careful about it...maybe too careful.
As for the truck, I realize it's alot of work, but most 50 year old trucks are, except yours of course...yours seems to be an extremely rare case.
Like i mentioned, I did happen to come across a 66 that looked to be in half decent shape, looked like an amateur resto, but had a rebuilt 305 and 350 auto trans. It looked more like "the girl who teaches sunday school" but it wouldn't really be restoring a truck...it's kinda already done. Not really what I was looking for, but maybe it should be, I don't know. I see trucks and women the same on some levels, but different on others. I do want to attempt to restore a truck, but not a woman, if that makes sense. But seriously, the advice is very appreciated, and hearing it from someone who has more experience than me is great...sometimes I really think I should look for one in nicer shape, but then I won't really be restoring it.
