New cars don't go to boneyards anymore, or get set in a farmers barn and forgotton for 40 years. They go right to the shredder. Around here (St. Louis area) old yards are selling off as quick as they can. I see 2 trucks a day going to the shredder. Price of scrap steel is high, and they are gonna make a buck. 50 years from now no one will be rebuilding 2006 cars, cause there won't be any to rebuild.

Get your parts while you can. They're even shredding the old classsics as well.
