The throttle bore is also larger by about a 1/4 of an inch too. There's a 40 CI difference in engines size. The jet and throttle bore aren't going to cause the fuel to percolate in the fuel bowl.
Did you put a phenolic spacer between carb and intake manifold? If not try that.
