I'm not sure how it is in Ireland Oldsub,but in the UK mainland you have to factor in an import tax of around 40% then the Government want their slice of 17.5% V.A.T.!(Value? added Tax)
Oh... I nearly forgot the shipping too.

This is the price we pay to own/import an American vehicle.
This also applies to any parts etc as well.
Kinda sucks........
