Good day everyone. Sorry this is kinda long. I'm trying to help a fellow with a diesel p/u. He's done put in a new set of piston rings, because it was burning a quart of oil in 10-15 miles. as well he did valve guide seals, (& of course head gasket). Afterwards it used a quart in 1200 miles. "Great!" But now, its using a quart in 40 miles again...question is" how can we seat the rings with out pulling it all apart again ?" (Oh yeah, its an imported pick up, but I hope we all can lend a hand) thanks for any help, suggestions.
