I'm facing the same job on my '66 Pontiac Catalina.As much as we all hate to spend $$$,I think since you have to pull it all apart anyway,you should ask a trustworthy front end man what HE'D replace in your circumstances
,and replace all the replaceable parts he suggests-then you'll know you won't have to worry about 'em down the road. Get a good shop manual for the car and learn as much as you can about the job before you begin. Wouldn't be a bad idea to foster a friendship with a good alignment tech,too.
