Uh oh. We are talking two different transmissions. You have been driving big rigs too many years!
Advance Adapters builds an overdrive named a "Road Ranger". Small aluminum case transmission, 2 speed, direct and over. Weighs less than a hundred pounds. Looks AA now calls this simply a "Ranger" transmission, or I am age addled. You can look here:
Ranger Overdrive Price has not changed in almost ten years. Has a gross vehicle rating of 25,000 pounds. I would not want to risk taking this one over 15,000 pounds or so. Above this, I think this would be too much stress for an aluminum case.
