I have read a lot regarding paint. It appears to be a highly debated topic, especially in the GMC world. This is just my opinion, but I would trust the posting from "oldcarkook" regarding the mid 80s Corvette Metallic Bronze (flattened). I belive this is the number...PPG 3898 and is called DK Beige Poly. This is the color I plan to use.
As far as the chrome... I believe all dash parts were painted in 1952 and 1953. However, I have read there were exceptions to the rule.
