For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Pulling apart the rear since I am also cutting a 21in section from the truck, came to realize that the 2 piece drive shaft would not work in this situation and since the transmission does not have a standard setup where I can slide a late model shaft easily into place, I am at a quandary what to do next. It looks as though I would need a 62-63in slip spline shaft in order to fit it in there and from what I can tell that does not exist.
Thoughts.. would a 2 piece work there or by shortening the wheel base is that limiting my option? | | |
