On my recently acquired 1952 GMC 1/2 ton I am trying to figure out the paint scheme for the speaker grill and glove box. I know on the Chevy the middle portions of both are painted and the top and bottoms are natural finished, polished stainless steel. My question is on the GMC are both pieces entirely painted and what color? Some if the information I have seen indicates that the GMC speaker grill and glove box were painted a different color than the Chevy. My speaker grill is entirely painted, but the glove box door is natural finished stainless top and bottom the same as a Chevy but the painted portion matches the color of the speaker grill. It is possible that a PO replaced the glove box door and painted it to match the speaker grill.
