The suggestion of wrench bender was the common way of doing it in the 50's through the 70's. Everyone considered the RH-5 as dangerous and if they didn't have enough 3 piece to go around, they put them on the steering axle or on the inside duel on the rear. I have been looking for 3 piece wheels for 6 months and haven't found any yet. The RH-5 were produced for almost 25 years. I didn't know anyone who really liked them, but they probably were less dangerous then without 50 years of rust working on them. And it was a time that we hadn't heard of product liability. Some things were just dangerous. In fact the mortality rate of truck drivers when I started was was worse than for boys who served in Vietnam.
