RD = 1936 1-1/2 ton Utility w/ 131" wheel base and Dual Wheels

12 = Built December 1935

5817 = Unit number starting at 1001 (you have the 4,817th RD built at Plant 21)

Note...the first 1936 RD from Janesville was built 10-8-35 and was serial number 21RD10 1001. The last RD from Janesville was built 8-21-36 and was serial number 21RD08 17321 for a total of 16,321 RD's built in Plant 21.

Thanks mike that is some great information, I have been past the Janesville plant a number of times.., cool knowing thats where the truck was built. I wasn't sure if that was even the vin number.. the state of WI issued a new vin for my truck... so I guess I wont run the original vin on the .. now I will have one for the next build

Jeff, that sure helps alot.. I wasnt aware that you could get these parts new.

Now the only thing... should i go with the NOS set at a lower cost or just go over to napa and pick up a new set? How do I determine if i should get the over sized pins?
