I have seen three different style of locks for the sliding side windows.
First is like the ones now reproduced 1947-early 1952,
The second style I have seen on 1952 and 1953 suburban are plastic (or something) coated and they themselves extend in front of the glass to hold it in the closed position.
Then the last style do the same and extend in front of the path of the sliding window and are chrome plated as in 1954 –1955 1st but I have seen these on a 1953 GMC burb, I would guess these are what are on Tim’s 1954.
